Community Event - 18th September 2024!
Come and join us to connect and collaborate with grassroots groups and organisations in the sector, share information and resources to build a stronger overall community.
Wednesday, 18th September 9.15am - 1pm
9.15am arrival for 9.30am start.
12.30 – 1pm – Lunch & Networking session.
Session one: - The 3 Lens Model
Presented by Professor Richard Byng from the University of Plymouth & Gemma Gowan from the Changing Futures project - The model offers a balance between the currently more dominant diagnosis-based model of practice and other important approaches - trauma-informed and strengths based – with a person-centred approach overarching all three.
Session two: - Grassroots Spotlight, Marbles Lost & Found CIC
Founder Nicky Nurrish will share updates, insight & news from the Marbles network that started from her own experiences..
Session Three: - Current Approaches to Psychiatry
Dr Sarah Harvey – Will explore current approaches to psychiatry; including exploring the efficacy and limitations of SSRI’s
‘Open Mic’ opportunity on the day to share or showcase what’s happening in your service or community. Please join us to collaborate, make connections & have your say in shaping the future of the PMHC.
Refreshments will be provided on arrival at 9.15am
