Plymouth Mental Health Collective
Feedback from our community listening event
Thank you again to those of you who were able to attend our listening event at Devonport Guildhall on the 18th May and for your insightful feedback.
The day started with information & presentations from our guest speakers & we heard from;
Vicky Shipway (Colebrook South West)
History, achievements & structure of the Plymouth Mental Health Network and where we are now.Rob Smith (Improving Lives Plymouth)
Community Mental Health Framework & the Devon Mental Health Alliance - How VCSE partners & NHS Devon are working together to improve MH services.Vicky Brooks (Trauma Informed Plymouth Network)
An overview of the TIPN & ‘Hosting’ the Plymouth Mental Health Collective as a TIPN branch.
We then asked for feedback to 3 questions:
What are the main reasons people are coming to you for support?
What would you want from a Plymouth Mental Health Collective?
How can we work together as a collective to support mental health in Plymouth?
As promised, we have now had the chance to collate the information gathered on the day and produce an overview. Common themes from our conversations are highlighted below.
Thank you for your enthusiasm, passion and for your thoughtful responses. We hope you enjoyed it too and feel, like us, that it was a successful and positive beginning to our Plymouth Mental Health Collective.
What’s Next…..
Save the date! We would like to suggest Thursday, September 14th, 2023 for the next listening event to continue and expand our valuable discussions based on the outcomes from the first session.
More info & details to follow once our venue is confirmed & look forward to seeing everyone who is able to and wishes to attend.
Thank You.
