3rd Community Event Update
What a great start to our events for 2024!
Our 3rd Community Event held on 31st January.
Thank you to all the guest speakers and attendees at our 3rd community event. There was an appetite for not only the breakfast, catered by Devonport Live Café, but also lots of networking before and after our speakers. Thank you to the historic Devonport Guildhall for providing a fantastic venue.
Jane Marley from Plymouth City Council/ Public Health presented an overview of the suicide prevention strategy for the city. We heard about data collection, how money is spent on the strategy, accessing support that’s available and an invitation to contact Jane if you would like more information or be involved with the Plymouth Suicide Prevention Partnership - [email protected]

Following the presentations an ‘Open Mic’ session gave us a chance to hear from, Changing Futures Plymouth, Simply Counselling, By the Horns Theatre Company, NIHR SW, Simpila Wellbeing, D&C Directory, Counsellors Southwest and SALT.
We’d love to hear your thoughts & comments as we develop & grow the Collective together!! If you could spend a couple of minutes to provide your input on future events, training or education you would like to see & ways to connect & collaborate it would be most appreciated.
Please have your say here.
Developing a website & having a dedicated email address are in the pipeline so in the interim we’ve created a Gmail account at which you can contact us if you’d like to get in touch.

Look out for details of our next event coming in April/May 2024 - TBC!!
Thankyou for being part of the Plymouth Mental Health Collective.
Best Wishes,
The PMHC team.
